Great value for the price with inclusive breakfast and friendly staff. The location was very convenient, just a few blocks from the bus station. The kitchen, although small, was well equipped and open for use during specific hours.
Our room was located near a communal area where people would watch movies late at night, making it difficult to rest after a long journey. The walls were thin, resulting in noise from the common room being heard throughout the night.

On our recent visit to Banos, we decided to stay at Transilvania and it was such a fantastic experience that we ended up returning on our way out of Ecuador. The breakfast they offer each morning is delicious and incredibly affordable. The hotel feels like a true home away from home, with amenities such as a pool table, films, and computers that cater to every traveler's needs. Additionally, the location is perfect - close to everything we needed, yet tucked away enough to enjoy a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. One of the best parts of our stay was the owner, Janet, who went above and beyond to assist us with various tasks, including making calls to local offices on our behalf. She is a genuinely kind and delightful person to chat with. And let's not forget the adorable cat and dog that live with the family!
Strongly recommend this hotel.

This hostel is a real backpackers paradise. the owners are incredibly helpful and the rooms are nicely decorated and cosy. the shared space is comfortable, with a billiard table and a stunning collection of free films to enjoy. the location is great, close to the main square, restaurants, and the market. You can even have a distant view of a waterfall from your room. the staff is amazing and friendly, and the breakfast provided is delicious.
The front doors are locked quite early, which can be slightly inconvenient at night.

The staff at the hostel were incredibly helpful and booked tours for me right from the hostel. The facilities were excellent, with plenty of hot water, clean rooms, good Wi-Fi. The location was perfect, right in the area of all the clubs and restaurants, and within walking distance of the waterfall and thermal waters. I highly recommend the Amazon Tour. The staff, especially the owner Janet, were amazing and made me feel right at home. I will definitely be coming back!
Felt like paradise, no complaints.

Great value for money, with clean and cozy rooms. the staff was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. the shared spaces were well-decorated and inviting, with a billiard table and a vast collection of films available for free. the location was ideal, just a short walk from the main square and bus terminal.
The wifi was a bit unreliable, especially when there were many guests using it. It was not suitable for voip calls, but basic internet activities like email and chat worked fine.
